Chapter and Verse
It’s interesting how many people believe they’re in a position to argue about this book who don’t study it diligently or even casually read it on any sort of consistent basis. And then when someone who does spend a decent amount of time studying the Bible tries to point others to some truth in it, they’re met with opposition, sometimes vehement opposition. When you take into honest consideration the opposition expressed, almost invariably the opposition includes language like “I feel”, and “I think”, and doesn’t provide a single scripture to backup said feelings and thoughts. Unsubstantiated accusations of impropriety and malfeasance often accompany insults, slander and libel, and attempted character assassination of the actually learned by the ignorant. Misappropriated affection is to blame. People love themselves, their traditions, and their sins more than they love THE TRUTH who is the person of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is THE WORD made flesh.
