The Time for Words

More than ever it’s time to be logical adults.
In response to the assassination of Charlie Kirk, I’m hearing many voices emerging, shouting that, “The time for words has ended!”
These voices are righteously grieving and fed up with the spirits of lawlessness and anti-Christ that are growing across the world. They’re understandably becoming desperate as all of their senses are showing them the destruction of our republic, the decline of our moral fabric, and the acceleration of society towards chaos and destruction. It’s right to vehemently hate the evil that is growing. But are we really past the point of using our words to combat the threats to western civilization and Christian values? Am I wasting my time right now with these words? I don’t think so.
The power of life and death is in the tongue. The reason Charlie was assassinated was because of his words. He had many admirable traits but his use of words was nearly unmatched. He used his intellect, knowledge, wisdom, patriotism, and great love for humanity to boldly share words that created real life. Words that reproved darkness. Words that shined light in dark places and revealed lies and destructive deceptions. Words that pointed to The Word. Words that proclaimed the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ, that we must have faith in Him and repent of our sins to live forever. Obviously this made Charlie a target. Obviously Satan and the demons hated Charlie’s work. We saw the manifestation of these demons often as they were unable to silence Charley by speaking more loudly, and he would calmly respond with more facts and truth. Part of why so many enjoyed his work was the effectiveness of Charlie’s mastery of the assertive communication of truthful words. Speaking truthful words breaks chains of bondage. Speaking truthful words sets people free. Speaking truthful words protects. Speaking truthful words warns. Speaking truthful words heals. Speaking truthful words builds. Speaking truthful words saves lives, both temporal and eternal.
No, the time for words is not over. The time for words will never be over. Heaven and earth will pass away but God says my words will never pass away.
Don’t take this as some plea for pacifism.
We are facing violence and growing threats of violence who are clearly willing to steal, kill, and destroy in order to further Satan’s agenda for world domination. The Bible is clear that righteous men should resist evil, and protect and defend the helpless. Righteous men and women should prepare accordingly, take every precaution necessary, and exterminate true threats with extreme prejudice expeditiously. But we don’t stop speaking words.
Even as end time prophecy unfolds and days darker than any the world has ever seen envelop us, we don’t stop speaking words.
Even as 1/3 of the world perishes in the 6th trumpet war, we don’t stop speaking words.
Even as the mark of the beast is implemented and Christians are martyred worldwide, we don’t stop speaking words.
We’ve been commanded to let our light shine like a city on a hill. We do this with our behaviors and… our words.
Understand that opportunist globalists will use our righteous frustration with the state of our union to further their hateful agenda. If they can push the right buttons to fan the flames of hatred to escalate further chaos, they will.
Defend.
Protect.
Submit yourselves to God and resist the devil.
Just remember in your anger do not sin. Vengeance is mine, says the Lord. Do not resist evil with evil, instead resist evil with good. And yes, this can mean the taking of life, when NECESSARY. But remember in the original language in the Bible there are different root words for killing and murder. We are allowed to kill, but forbidden to murder. So today and in the coming days, regardless of tragedy, don’t allow murderers to turn you into a murderer.
Resist evil. But resist ALL evil. Even when it comes in the form of temptation for YOU to do evil.
The time for words hasn’t passed. No matter how bad things get, there will be time for words. Words of love. Words of instruction. Words of correction. Words of warning. Words of repentance. Words that share the hope of the gospel of Jesus. Words that show the only way to eternal life. It’s true that an increased need for righteous actions is upon us, but don’t ever stop loving people enough to use every word you can muster to save lives.
The time for words has not ended. You just need to dig deeper to find the compassion, wisdom, and maturity necessary to find them.
Charlie would want more words.
