Subtle Curses

 Interesting speculation #5,000,000 regarding subtle curses woven into our society:

-Why do we call our children kids?

-Kids are baby goats

-The Bible says when Jesus returns he is going to separate the sheep from the goats. The sheep are His obedient children who live with Him forever. The goats are the disobedient who love the world more than Him and spend eternity separated from Him.

-Hypothesis: our enemy, Satan, the prince of the power of the air and master of deceit uses language against us. Calling our children “kids” is a subtle perhaps less powerful curse, but yet one more curse nonetheless that they need to overcome to find the one true path to righteousness and eternal life through obedience in Christ Jesus.

Conclusion: Call them children. Don’t call them kids. Also don’t call them little angels but that’s for another post.

Matthew 25:

31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
