Sacrifice

Here’s some meat, if you have the teeth to chew. As deep calls to deep, deep can only actually be found with increasing levels of obedience and usually, sacrifice. Right now before God is there anything you are holding on to that has His place of affection in your heart? What, if anything, is more important to you than Him? Where is your line? Is there ANYTHING, or ANYONE that, if you were honest, holds a higher place in your heart, or that which you are not willing to sacrifice, if He were to ask? This level of commitment, loyalty, obedience, and willingness doesn’t make sense to our flesh. It’s in direct contradiction. Will you choose to trust Him and lean not on your own understanding? Will you love not your life, even into the death, in every regard, as this wicked world consumes you bite by bite, trusting that He has the most perfect, righteous plan? Do you truly trust that He is sovereign, and good? Don’t lose sight of how much He loves you. Trust Him. All the way. Until you see His wonderful face, feel His powerful loving embrace, and finally hear, well done, good and faithful servant.
